warming the cockles...

my original thought behind this post was it's cold, it's dark out, its winter and what would make me all warm and happy right now would be to flick through my collection of this months magazines and daydream about all the things I'd buy for myself if only I had that kind of disposable income... but in the end I found myself choosing beautiful pieces I'd buy for some of my nearest and dearest if only i could.
now that made me feel all warm and joyous...

i can think of at least two men in my life that would appreciate this beautiful
tool cabinet, not only for its intended use but for the workmanship
of the gorgeous timber case...

designed in 1951 by grant featherston, the R160 contour chair would bring a
larger than life smile to a little friends face...

she's always looking for the perfect tan bag, and with children my friend could fit
everything including the kitchen sink it this sumptuously soft leather travel bag...

they have this amazing solid timber dining table that can seat 14 but have only 4 chairs.
they are cool retro ones but they need more chairs!!
these 111 navy chairs made from 111 recycled coke bottles would do the trick...

i can see two or three of my girl friends with these outfits by gorman in their wardrobe
but many more of the girls could rock these...

everyone should own a classic + comfy leather chair that only gets better with age.
my oldest family member would appreciate this stunning chair by italian company baxter.
he could enjoy the afternoon sunshine through the window while he rests his eyelids.
not sleeping, just resting the lids...
