last week i posted about one of my favourite south coast towns, thirroul and one of the reasons i love this town is the shops. especially my favourite homewares shop nest emporium. owned by sisters donna and angie, the store is located on the main street of thirroul in a quaint and stately two-storey building. it offers a wide range of interior products and fashion accessories; framed butterflies, silver jewellery, leather handbags, quilts, candles, wrapping paper, deck chairs, books, indian headdresses, baby clothes and luggage... just to name a few.
i asked donna she decided to open nest emporium more than 9 years ago with her sister angie, she replied;
"i decided after 9 years being a full time mum that I needed to go back to work for my sanity and i didn't want to work for a boss. i wanted to do something creative and i noticed a gap in the shopping in thirroul. because I'd always loved decorating and homewares, i decided a homewares shop was the thing for me. thirroul was ready and so was i."
not only is nest emporium a go too for your homeware + accessory needs, they also offer home-styling advice, from one room mini makeovers to a full interior styling service with product sourcing to complete your home. for those of you who are unable to travel to thirroul any time soon, they do sell online so you won't miss out on there gorgeous wares. they stock brands mor cosmetics, glasshouse candles, arlington milne handbags + purses, oobi baby, voluspa, ecoya, elk, eb & ive plus many many more...
