bali | indonesia | the locals...

i had never been to bali or anywhere in indonesia before last month and i'm now questioning myself as to why not! it is now one of my favourite destinations, with high temps of 32 and lows of 26 pretty much all year round; i can not wait to visit its shores sooner rather than later.

my friend, ange and i spent one week predominantly in seminyak. seminyak is north of legian and kuta and is known for its luxury accommodation, fashion boutiques, new restaurants and great bars. the atmosphere is sophisticated yet laid-back. perfect place for two girls who had never been before.

we were fortunate enough to be have a lovely driver, wayan organised to pick us up from the airport and look after us throughout our stay. he was fantastic. super reliable, and friendly. its the best way to see the island. he'll drive you around for the day or drive you to a destination and wait for you. if you're going, i'll give you he's number.

what made the trip easy was how welcoming the locals were. plenty of "we love aussies", and thank goodness as there are so many of us visiting on a daily basis. they work hard, expect little and know how to relax. my favourite thing about the locals was that they remind you to be on "bali time". relax, no rush, sit back, enjoy, smile!! what more could you want in life...
